Jesus, coming off a high point, is disappointed in his disciples’ lack of faith when they fail to cast out a demon. The text is from Luke 9:37-43.
In the context of taking up one’s cross and prayer, Jesus’ glory is revealed, his death is discussed, and his importance is highlighted by the Father in a mountaintop experience that would leave a lasting impression on the three disciples present. Luke 9:28-36 tells the story.
